Blu Ray Question

I installed a drive on my PC but windows media does not support it and can't find any free programs to run it besides I think I need a Monitor with a DVI port to run HD on my PC right?

Vlc should work.....I download it from cnet.com....only other thing I can think of is that maybe you need a high def video card or maybe you need to update the drivers or do a windows update

Bought a LED HD monitor and Power DVD software.Bluray looks awesome.
