For the wife, going to have to watch "The Vow" then off to Cheesecake Factory.

Anyone watch Safe House yesterday? I really want to see it but wifey takes priority.


BTW, chronicle was alright if your interested in watching that. Some funny parts but wasn't good or great by any standard.

Listen. There is only one movie in theaters worth seeing. Phantom Menace in 3d. All other things are irrelevant.

I think I've finally reached the point where I can no longer say that a movie is better in a theater than at home. At home, I can watch a blu-ray on my 42" 1080p screen with surround sound, and my monthly Netflix charges are the cost of a pair of movie tickets. My last trip was War Horse. Taking my wife and kids... 5 people at $12 a ticket. Sitting in the theater, I couldn't help constantly noticing the stains on the movie screen, regardless of what the scene was. I'm not going to quit going to movies, but it certainly gave me a chance to appreciate what I have at home.

My wife and son, future IRON CHEF....ALL HE DOES IS WATCH FOOD NETWORK...., watch all those shows all the time. I'm sick of watching that and HGTV.

I make it a point to take my wife out atleast once a month to the movies and dinner. All it takes is ~100 bucks to have a good night with the wife.

A friend put me onto it and it is a nice little night away from the kids and the tiring life style of work, college, family, errands, fish tank, etc on a daily cycle.

im with muehlbauer on this one got the Netflix and a nice tv works for me plus the bottle of cabo wabo too always helps.

I do hate when I pay $50 and the movie sucks. Last thing I watched at the movies was The Devil Inside and SUCKED!!!!

With large format TV Netflix and torrents the home theater beats the movie theater.
I'm thinking a projector with some painted plywood and I can screen movies in the backyard.
Screw going to the movies when you can have more fun and less hassle at home.

That looks insane but only fun to do not to watch? I don't think things like that happen in the northeast as often if we were in say Cali in a rich suburb area.
