ARRRRGH water on basement floor!!!!

Last night I go down to basement as I usually do to check on sump and what do I see????? Water on the floor but across the room. I am like WTF. Water not from tank but from friggin hot water heater!!!!!!!!!!

So no hot water today since I had to go to work to accept delivery of new server for work, but guess what the company didn't realize that it was a holiday today so they bailed on me. Taking day off tomorrow to replace the unit. So there goes buying any new fish or corals any time soon!!!

The heater was put in 10 years ago so got some time out of it. Gotta hit home depot in the morning for some parts. Already got the new unit. I was thinking about a tankless but decided against it since it is an emergency install. I can't believe the prices of hot water heaters today.


Sucks!!!!!!

I say it's time to just empty the basement and make it the new tank. That's a pretty good upgrade!

All fixed now. Took me about 2 hrs total and about $725 to get it done.

Man that sux about your water heater but you should have taken advantage of the situation and went tankless. They are so much more efficient, especially the gas units,which I see your set up for.

You heating your tank with that heater...LOL...How many gals is that heater becasue looks huge compared to my 60gal!!!
