LED is still an LCD TV it just refers to the light source. That said, I love my LED it's awesome.

Agreed it's the same as the difference with our tank lights the new led tvs are a much brighter nicer looking picture go with led all the way.....

Led tv is an lcd as stated just led background light instead of flourescent background, but the led will be better looking.

ummm correct me if im wrong but isnt lcd a bunch of mirrors and led a bunch of leds how is that the same :bigeyes: also while led being more energy efficient and run cooler.

Not sure, but I think the 'bunch of mirrors' was DLP TV.

Local dimming LED all the way if given the choice. Will give you better black levels...

LED/LCD... same thing... just almost think of it as a projection TV. The LCD itself will provide the image... however the LED/Light panel backlighting will allow you to see it.
So you are really just going to have to pick whichever you like better...

Led all the way.. Cooler running better pic quality and slicker.. Much thinner look to it I have a 55" samsung mounted on the wall, with the thin mount on it so it only comes 1.75" of the wall..

They say that about the 3D Tvs ... They say it can cause dizziness if watched for too long.. But like u said who know..lol

I have both. LED is the way to go if you TV is larger than 42 inches.

Yes they are the same screen, but the backlighting is different...LEDS use...LEDs and have more uniform lighting while LCDs use fluorescent tubes...LEDs will give you better contrast and deeper blacks.
