What was your comment in regards to Mayweather KO's Ortiz in the 4th Round?

Personally Ortiz, knew he was being out boxed my Mayweather, in almost all rounds. He wanted to use his agressiveness and weight, and lets not forget a few times he was using his head. He ram Mayweather like a bull with his head. And knew he was in the wrong, not classy. I saw when Mayweather turn his lights off, he was looking at Mayweather. He wanted to apologize again, and Mayweather looked at him, like what is your problem. We are not here to hug and kiss. Your hear to fight and earn 2.x Million.

Seems like the ref was partly at fault for this one, should've made sure both fighters were ready to go. But yeah like everyone said "protect yourself at all times" Ortiz didn't and he payed.

I agree with both of u guys at the beginning the ref say " protect urself at all times".plus how many times u gonna aplogize to mayweather for head butting him? Like him or not he was whipping his ass in all the rounds, yes would've like to seen more rounds like everyone's else but when the ref say "fight" that's what he did.ortiz knew he couldn't win the fight

First and foremost guys in boxing you have to protect yourself at ALL times!!

Ortiz got caught in the moment and did the wrong thing , hes young and still inexperienced in such high adrenaline moments, and as for the ref i think between joe cortez and richard steel we have enough bad decision making to agree that they really need to update the age requirements and get some more attentive and responsive refs in the ring, as for floyd , well floyd is floyd , hes from a family of cunning street fighters and we all know this so what he did is just a reflex that his family bloodline has instilled in him because hes just a very fast and agile guy, kill or be killed is his style of boxing.

My take on it is that floyd was getting ready to see some damage from ortiz in the rounds to follow because ortiz figured him out , that by pushing forward you will get to floyd ! By walking floyd back he will get defensive and roll his shoulder to keep his chin tucked away and if you use wide hooks in bunches you will limit his output in counter punching, it has been proven by zab judah and damarcus corley as well as shane mosley that floyds jaw is like ikea glass!, tap it sharpley and it is broken.

In conclusion , a rematch will never happen cause floyd doesnt like to take chances, and he surely wouldnt pass the second round with pacman!

All said .......the clock is ticking for floyd and he has painted his career into a corner and this is when he should retire unblemished, but certainly not the best.

I disagree on u saying he had Floyd firgured out it was more fustration that he couldn't figure him out,I think he was surprised Floyd was the agressor & still was the counter-puncher,he was like nobody he fought in the pass that's why he had to resort to headbutting.even perish former trainer said he was a hott head & didn't listen

Floyd on the ropes was not an aggressor!! When your backs on the ropes your in defense and retreat and if you saw the five seconds before he got floyd on the roaps you can see he was pressing floyd! Thats how floyd will lose ! Being stalked hes all flash and owes cash so we know he will fight again in a year for more money to keep up with his troubled life! And im willing to bet anything in my tank that he wont give ortiz a rematch just like he didnt give it to the guys that caused him trouble!

I do however invite your opinions cause i love to debate boxing from both corners as i am a big big fan for many years, so i ask u this midtown who do you think floyd will fight next, and do you think he needs to fight manny to solidify his claim as the best in the world pound for pound?

fight was BS! tired of paying massive $$$ for BS! I know that you have to protect yourself at all time but keep in mind that you have to so some sportsmanship. Ortiz was wrong for the head-put but keep in mind the Floyd is not a knockout boxer and he would have own that round anyways and maybe even the match. Ortiz was caught up in the moment and just simply wild-out. Floyd took a cheap shot and thats some BS, I cant wait for the day he gets KNOCKED OUT!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

And, Mayweather should stop dodging Pacman already.

What Mayweather did to Ortiz was unclassy and cursing out Larry Merchant was straight up disrespectful. If you think your the best fighter ever then you shouldnt have to sucker punch an opponent to win. I will not be ordering another fight again.

I agree Mayweather was picking great shots but I think Ortiz was definitely putting up a good show and you never know. I also agree that it may be too much of a risk to Mayweather to do a rematch.

Ortiz move was illegal, Mayweathers legal.... Like the ref said in the waiting rooms keep yourself protected at all times!

May started the time out with a hook, connected... Ortiz stood in position instead of defending himself, May finished him...

You have to expect the unexpected!

You really need to see the fight again,Floyd was hitting with straight clean shots even before the 4th round ortiz right eye was swollen yes he was on the ropes but that's part of his technic look at his other fights he did the same exact thing, ortiz was looking for one good shot which he never got & if the fight went on it was no way he was gonna win he was getting chopped down round by round.the time he head butted him he rushed Floyd &he didn't get one good shot off him in fact, look at it again & you will see floyd was taunting him as he was missing which why he prolly head butted him.so I invite you to watch it over (in slow mo) & tell me if you saw it different?

I lost respect for him when he cursed out Merchant.I'm sure his PR guy will make him apologize.Lol.Would like to see Sergio Martinez vs Manny.Mayweather has to fight Manny to gain my respect back.Granted,Floyd is talented boxer and one of the best but needs to shut up and fight.Ali talked smack but backed it up.

Every one has good points. I just think Mayweather is a very talented boxer good at two things. Creating Hype, marketing and propoganda and last but not least avoiding the true champ in his division......... If i didnt know better it almost looked staged.....:fishhit:

Manny vs. Mayweather eventually will happen! Mayweather carefully planned each event, avoiding, picking and retiring. Why? He is going to promote the biggest purse in history, and WIN...How? Only Mayweather knows, that is the secret to a winner! The guy talks a lot of smack! But who has the money? The boy got skills, and show discipline. As for Ortiz pressing Mayweather is part of what each boxer was trained to do! Each boxer is trained to be in those difficult situations. Mayweather was not getting hurt, and that what surprised Ortiz, which pissed him off. Ortiz was not ?the one? who didn?t show any class, nor did he show any boxing skills. But he fought like a primitive lunatic by shoving his head in Mayweather face. Ortiz thought that he was going to put Mayweather in the canvas in first round. I guess he thought after beating Berto, that he was invincible.

I saw the fight and I saw a young immature fighter, who is aggressive and wild and kept putting his head in Mayweather face. Ortiz was frustrated and had no chance boxing in the center of the ring with Mayweather. He was getting school by a veteran. Mayweather, maybe 10 yrs older, but its skills and experience that will do the job. Look at Hopkins age is not stopping him, and the boy can box. There was no sucker punch, he got punch while looking! If you make a mistake, and apologize once is enough...now do what you came for box, and give a show. He got punch for apologizing again!

Now what does being part of the Mayweather family, and growing up on the street have to do with punching out Ortiz? I'm sure if someone head butt you intentionally, you are going to react. If you don't you must be a punk.

As for Larry merchant interview, with Mayweather...That old fu4$er needs to retired. You ever listen to his closing, I don?t think he understand himself.
