My basement may turn into a large look down style tank soon...


i am looking for a reputable company to come and see what the problem in my basement is. I realize the ground is saturated from Irene, and were having a week of rain, but i would still like someone to come and check it out. If you used anyone recently that was honest and did a nice job lemme know

My parents same problem if u can tell what side the house it's comming from u can buy a bunch of dirt and dump it against the foundation makeing an angle away from the house

Matt if he is having a water problem throwing dirt up against the foundation is not the solution they make lap cement / foundation sealers /there is plastic that goes with the lap cement/ thoroseal for the inside and if u have the big bucks u can put in a french drain there are a few ways to seal a foundation but with out me looking @ the problem I would not know which is the best route to recomend

thanks guy, i have done the dirt thing, down spout thing too

i dont have big bucks, but i need my basement back as the rest of the house looks like someone put it in a snowglobe and shook it up!

i have calls out to a few local companies that were suggested, they are all swamped at the moment

Every house I've ever built required a curtain drain. Hope this helps.

Oh if u don't have thousands of dollars laying around the dirt worked very well for my parents bout 16 bags couple bucks each

if u have some energy a french drain is easy to put in yourself.
