computer virus

I'm getting a virus on the search result (google, yahoo....). That means if I do a search on google and click on the result, it'll redirect to a different website instead of the one listed on the search result page. I tried to scan the virus with different antivirus and malware softwares but came out as clean. I want to see if you guys have any advise.

Download, install and scan. I would boot into safe mode first http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm and scan.

Try booting in safe mode with network access and see if you can't figure out what the virus is called. Sometimes a few google searches can help you figure out what virus it is then you can find a solution for removal.

Also, make sure malwarebytes is fully updated.

Superantispyware is another one. Try that one. I have found better results with SAS.

Keep running it until you come out clean. Also if you are using Internet Explorer, check your proxy settings. If you got some sort of MalWare then it may have changed that setting. Sometimes those stubborn malwares are very hard to get rid of. Do you have any problem running any type of software? I am assuming that your Antivirus will actually run if you try to open it.

Nasty rootkits. Working with too many variables... view this and see if it applies to your situation. Slightly annoying voice, but if it helps with your problem, just lower volume and endure

check your browser's connection settings and see its you're using any proxys. also check startup items n look for disable any unknowns.
