How fast is to use up 5G of a data plan?

Thinking of getting a mobile 4G internet thing for my laptop/ipad but cannot decide which plan to use. Verizon has a 5G and a 10G plan. Tell me your experience.

5G is a long ways off if you want to wait for it.MY 3G is fine for now.Clear has a fast network for Laptops.

I think he means 5Gb and 10GB plans. As it seems the ipad is pretty data intensive. I have the wifi version. I use it to stream my TV via slingbox, and I stream some movies off a few sites. When I tether, I can easily go over 6 gigs on my cell plan. Now that is a mix of mobile data and tethering data.

I suppose it is dependant on what you will do online with it. for casual browsing and maybe music streaming, 5gb should be ok. If you're streaming video, a 10gb plan should cover you.
