Hey there,
I've decided to stop spending sooo much $$ on this hobby and try and start up one of the good oldies.
So 2 things:
1) help me find instruments
2) do you play? how about an MR band?
I'm looking for an alto saxophone or alto flute (would also take standard Csharp).
Any make/model as long as it plays well, does not need a rehaul, has sweet tones (not consistently flat/sharp due to equip failure), etc. Doesn't have to be great looking, it's just for me to get back in practice and serenade my tank i.e. under $400.
-(btw, I tried ebay once for a soprano sax and the G sharp key was broken, so all notes SUCKED unless I managed to keep the key taped down i.e. could only play a select few notes)
-Yes, I've seen them in pawn shops, but if you would direct me towards one that'd be great (I seriously, haven't seen any where I live or in NYC...I guess it's cause I was never on the look out).
Would also maybe consider Ab clarinet.
thanks for any help!!!
