I am looking at different skimmers for Nanos. I have a JBJ 12G DX and I see Nano skimmers from $30.00 (Current USA Fission Nano-Skimmer) to $130 (AquaC Nano). Is there anyone out there with input as to what I should get? Or is a skimmer for this tank necessary?

Only Soft Corals right now (Colt, Star Polyps, Sand Polyps) and no fish. I plan on adding a fish or two and some more softies.

Hmm, nutrient export through water change alone, I can live with that.

If I was to get a skimmer though, does anyone have rcommendations on which one? Thanks

Fission is pretty bad from what I've see. I'd go with the Aquac or see if you can get one of the skimmers made for the Biocube 14 to fit in there, they seem to work fairly well.

I have an Aqua C Remora on a 15gal long and it works fine, the Aqua C Nano is shorter so it could fit on the jbj, good skimmers for smaller tanks IMO.

i have a tunze nano skimmer. i like it but had to cut portions of the back off to fit the collection cup. and i run without a hood btw, so you may have to hack that up too.
