I went to turn off my 96w Aqualight tonight and got a HUGE shock to my hand. I couldn't figure out where it could have come from (other than the switch, which I then felt around, but nothing happened). As I was looking, my finger moved over the screw in the back on the right side panel...POW! Got it again. Touched the front ones...nothing. Then I touched the one on the bottom...POW! Got it again. Now my entire arm stinkin' hurts.

Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this?

Something is wired wrong.

What do you have it plugged into?

Sometimes people will switch the neutral and the ground around, in fact, sometimes people switch the hot and neutral around. Not a very smart thing to do.

The best thing to do is buy a tester that you plug into an outlet and it will tell you if the outlet the light is plugged into is wired correctly. If its wired correctly then continue up any cords you have until you get to where the light itself is plugged in.

If everything tests correct then your lights wiring needs to be looked at.

OH, one more thing while I thought of it, if you take the light apart enough to see the wiring you may be able to see where a wire has been rubbing a part of the light casing or metal brackets. sometimes people don't get the wires in the exact right place and they get pinched or even have a screw through them.

More possibilities for ya....
