I now have the new lights on, the rock and corals rearranged and the aiptasia gone. The corals just love the new lights, they're expanding like crazy. I have some new pics but I'm having a tough time trying to get my camera to focus on the full tank and hood, I'll wait till the room lighting dims and see if it isn't any better. Hopefully I'll have some more pictures posted tonight.

There shouldn't be a problem anymore as all my pictures from the Nano Buildoff have been transfered over to my own Domain, plenty of space, good data transfer times and capacity.
Now I can get down to some serious picture taking. 8)

Clean of what?
Detritus, diatoms and algae are cleaned up by a very efficient cleanup crew consisting of some small bristleworms, copepods, about 4 Asterina sp., 2 tiny unidentified snails, 2 Astraea sp., another small unidentified snail and a Clibanarius sp. I also pitch in with my fingers to get at some small patches of cyano on the acrylic (I have to modify the output of the powerhead or put in a more powerful one) there seems to be a few low current areas because of the corals blocking the flow.
The lights are a simple Coralife fixture.

I apologize David, should have been more specific..the "glass" er acylic clean from algae/diatoms? Seeing how i dont want to biooverload the tank, i only have one turbo snail in mine...pods, bristleworms flourish easily..

For circulation, have you thought about a mini closed loop? Maxi-jet 400 or 600 should work.

I thought about it but I believe the Mini-Jets would be the way to go as you can adjust the flow rate.
Any way my venture to purchase an upgrade pump was unsuccessful, most places didn't carry, were out of stock, had no idea what I was talking about or thought I was plain nuts. But things did turn out for the better.
I must be getting old and senile as I've been looking at this pump for over a month; I just realized there was an elbow in the output. So without having to relocate, add or do any drastic alterations, I remove the elbow, now running the output straight out. Flow rate must have increased at least 10 to 15%.
I believe my problem may be solved.

Hey man. What would happen if you ran a 20' length of 1/4" tubing from your Nano to a flat pan, containing 10 gallons of fresh water being slowly evaporated by a fan, and back to the Nano?

Just adds to complications (trying to keep this as uncomplicated as possible) and I'm not sure it would be as efficient as just the fan I'm using now. Adding a cup of DI water twice a day isn't that much of an ordeal.
If I really wanted to cool it I'd buy a used tiny refrigerator and run tubing through it to the tank, instant chiller.
Some people in the biz want me to do it just to see how it would work.
