New member here. Not new to reef though. I do have a question for the nano folks. I want to set up a nano tank in my living room. Somewhere along the lines of a 10-12 gallon size. I wanted to ask if live sand will die. I have some left over from my 55 in a container and it's about a year old. My question is live sand live liverock? Meaning will it regrow the needed items to make it live sand again if I use it in my nano tank? Kinda a stupid question, but I know that liverock will come back with the proper conditions. Can once live sand "live" again?

Welcome to RDO!

Since you're only setting up a 10 gallon, why not throw in new sand? do a search for southdown/oldcastle/yardright. It's the same sand that you buy at the pet store, just much cheaper. Then just buy a cup or two of live sand from a store or another reefer.
