Hi:

About a week ago I put a large hawiian featherduster in my five gal nano. This morning it is spitting a white liquid, the water is very cloudy. I have a few questions.

First what is this liquid?

Second is the liquid harmful to my tank?

Third if it is harmful, how do I resolve this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would do a partial water change A.S.A.P., if you have not done so already! As far as what the goo is, hopefully someone else can elaborate.

I tried looking it up, but was unable to find anything. :(

already done, about 10%. question is, is that enough of a water change? Is has been a few hours now since the featherduster spewwed the goo. All my corals seem to be thriving. I wonder if the featherduster is just pooping or maybe releasing spores into the water column. I just have to wait and see.

Well, it's either getting its swerve on or it's yakking its guts out.

Sounds like it's spawning. Looks like a thin line of smoke coming out of it, like this one of my coco worm.
