question yellow cucumber in my 6Gallon cube-PIC

I have just added a small(half inch) yellow cucumber (middle of attached pic) to my 6 gallon nano which is about 11 months old and doing great. After having the LFS talk me into the purchase i have since been trying to learn about the cucumber.

I have read some scary info concerning there death and release of toxins which may poison the entire tank! i imagine this would be for certain in a small nano?

does anybody have any advice on the care of the yellow cucumber and/or comment on weather i should just get rid of it?

Madhi I'm going to keep this thread up and link you to some information. I don't have any experience with cucs, will network you to someone who does. Your tank is still looking great, it was a well-received focus thread.
