cycling a new Nanocube

I set up a nanocube just over a week ago. 12 or so pounds of sand and about 15 lbs of rock.
This weekend this orange/brown looking stuff appeard as a blanket on the sandbed and is starting to creep up the rocks.
Is this a problem? Any ideas what it is?

J What type of rock do you have? How long has it been cycling? Sounds like slime algae....

appears to be a diatom bloom from what you described. not to wory, it will go away with time.
