Help, 28Gal Nano Cube MH problem

Does anyone or did anyone have or had an issue with their MH light for their JBJ Nanocube 28? Since yesterday the MH light shuts of every 10 minutes. While its off the gear box hums and it turns back on after 3 minutes and once it turns on the humming stops. Any advise?

Sounds like you have a bad ballast...

Hey Thirty5, Just so you know my boy is still debating on his nano set up issue regarding whether to use a skimmer or the basket. LOL. Anyway regarding my nano light issue I was thinking the same but wouldn't it turn on an off more often? Exactly every 10 minutes, I timed it. This aint good since I have SPS in the tank.

There is only 2 parts to the light so its either the light or ballast. Can't explain why every 10 mins. But I would say it is bad

I have a 1 month old bulb in there so I dont think thats it.

Just for the hell of it I picked up a new bulb today and guess what, that was the problem. So I will be calling MarineDepot to see if I get a replacement. The new bulb was not even 4 weeks old.
