the ammonia is 1.0 in the hospital tank. Not in my reef tank. I did a water change last night. I won't over do the copper. I am just going to have to let the tank cycle. Its a new tank, but I needed to get my fish out. My blue tang was very sick and I wanted to save him. VegasDealr

Thanks but wrong. My fish was within hours of death. Adding copper to my reef wasn't an option. However. Thanks to my quick reaction and getting them all into the hospital tank, the fish has already resumed normal respiration, and most of the outbreak is gone. He's not about to die now, and...

Try putting the powerhead up in the main tank. (feedwater powerhead) and turn the CO2 down just little. I had the exact same issue. The excess pressure from the CO2 was pushing water the wrong way out the feedwater line. VegasDealr [ July 09, 2001: Message edited by: VegasDealr ]

The hospital is necessary and essential. But thanks for the advice. I'd never put copper in my reef tank. The fish are starting to look better now, and I'm glad I got them out when I did. Thanks everyone for the help. VegasDealr
