Kervina,
I didn't think about doing that. I ended up taking him to my LFS who in turn gave him to someone who had an appropriate tank for him. I need to remember that "red flashlight" trick.
Thanks
wow Terrance...how big was your crab? I have not lost any fish.....YET. I'm getting the feeling I need to find a new home for him. He's not quite big enough to boil...lol....otherwise, I LOVE crab!
I agree with you Kervina. That is why I'm taking the time to try to identify him...and have him safe in the quarantine tank right now. I am missing two mythrax crabs and a peppermint shrimp. It's hard to know what he does because he is nocturnal and as soon as the flashlight hits him....he's...
Here is a pic of my crab that I FINALLY managed to capture. Any ideas? He/she is cream colored with purple blotches like coraline algea. He has pink and purple bands of color on his legs. His claw are medium sized with small pinchers. He is hairy and he is nocturnal.
I hope these pictures...
I bought a purple tang a few weeks ago. He has adjusted without any problems. He was never skiddish and ate immediately. He/she is awesome!
My question....
I am feeding him the dried seaweed from my LFS. I feed all my fish about every 3 days. He even eats the frozen food I feed the other...
Davelin,
I haven't had much luck posting pics here. I emailed them to you instead. They are not very good pictures unfortunately.
Thanks! Hope you can make something out...
Tilly
I can't believe how many new things I see when I look in that tank. It makes me mad that I can't see the back side!....lol....I wonder what's back there???
Hello,
I found a crab in my tank the other day that I've never seen before...and have not seen again.
His main body is beige/cream colored with a few splotches (NOT dots) of purple...the color of coralline algea. His front claws are large with mostly purple color. His back legs have of bands...
I have something that lives in a hole in my rock. It shoots out about 10-20 "hairs" about 4 or 5 inches long...looks just like brown human hair....onto the sand. Then it hauls the hair with sand on it back into the rock. After a white it shoots out a puff of sand along with the hairs again...
Off the subject a little...but still urchin related..... Does anyone have experience with a pencil urchin in their tank? I bought one after finding 4 or 5 sources stating they were reef safe. Now I'm hearing they will eat corraline algea and corals. I'd like to hear from people who have...
