I was wondering if doing water changes is even necessary. I don't have a calc reactor but i'm planning on adding b-ionic for calcium supplementation. Should i change my water and how often?

I have 2 x 175 watts metal halides over a 65 gallon aquarium that is 24" deep. The lights are 10" above the waters surface. Do you guys think this is sufficient lighting for sps corals and clams? Are the hung to far from the water surface? :?:

I have just recently acquired a bicolor angelfish. I was excited until i went to my lfs and he said BICOLOR ANGEL!, those are impossible to keep. My lfs guy says he has NEVER had success with them. So now I'm worried about what to feed the guy and how to keep him alive. ANY advice on how to keep...

I was just wondering how everyone hides there powerheads? I have mine in the rock currently, but doesn't this create a problem for cleaning the powerhead if corals are on top of the rock needing removed?

I've heard remora, euro-reef, and tunze are the cream of the crop as far as skimmer's are concerned. My question is why won't a regular seaclone work fine? Has any1 actually had any problem's because they didn't have a skimmer sucking EVERY single ounce of waste from there aquarium?

I'm planning on purchasing one of the 4 following eels: garden eel 14" max, wolf eel 18" max, zebra eel 48" max, or a snowflake eel 2' max. The problem is i don't know which one is the most sutiable for a reef. I have a 65 gal aquarium and my smallest fish WILL be a Maroon Gold Stripe clown...

Do you guy's think that 260 watts of VHO lighting+ room lighting+ two big winows with sun coming through would be enough for montipora and acropora. Keep in mind im in Florida where the sun tend's to be bright :lol:
