i have some zoa colonies that thrive like crazy and others that just barely make it. it seems that sometimes it's just the zoa themselves.

i had one and it did a lot of cleaning and i supplemented with nori sheets, but eventually it died so be careful because it can crawl into a space not easy reached.

if you are going to get live rock make sure no aiptasia on or inside rock, once they spread in tank it's very hard to eliminate

i got the same thing, from what i know so far nothing eats it, will try lawnmower blenny...i have a yellow tang, doesn't touch it. various crabs and snails didn't either. didn't try turbo yet. hermits didn't touch it.

if you want to be safe go you can get egg crates for lighting fixtures at home depot or lowes and cut out panels to fit your tank.

agree with rookie07. i had a peppermint and it ripped certain corals apart. i had to get rid of it. if the zoas are being eaten at night it could be the zoas dying and then the pods munch on them. you can see at night with with a flashlight. peppermints are more active at night.
