I'm located in Sarasota as well. Where do you go to get your CO2 tanks refilled. Everywhere I called, they only want to swap out my tank for a full one. Thanks
Thanks for the replys, which I will try tomorrow, but I believe my main problem are my dual returns being too powerful. Don't know if I will have to do away with the standard returns that came with the Oceanic tank and custom make something that will let the water spread out with a weaker flow...
Another living room vote here. I can look straight forward at the High Def. Tv and turn my head to the right and see my Reef Tank. Hope my corals and fish appreciate the money I spent on the TV. Although no where near as much as I have spent on the tank in the past few months setting it up.
My 120 tank has been cycling with 100 pounds of live fiji for the past 5 weeks. I was pleased because I had very little if any cycle. Rock was purchased from Premium Aquatics and I was very happy with the assortment of sizes and the life on the rock (It was pre-cured). Will be adding another...
Purchased exactly what you are looking for from Jeff at Lifereef for my 120 around three months ago. Quality workmanship all the way around. If I had to do over, I probably whould have paid extra for the Iwaki (sp) pumps with the Japanese motors. The little giants run hot, and currently will...
Anyone know of a LFS in the Tampa Bay area that has good looking Fiji Live Rock for a fair price? I'm down in Sarasota and not impressed by the quality or the $8.00 per pound pricetag at the local stores around here.
Question for BReefCase. I have a brank new 120 setup that I will be adding liverock into next week. What would your breakdown of different "cleanup" critters be for this size tank. Thanks
Xrenx, I am starting a new 120 gallon tank. This past Saturday I added approximately 250 pounds of Southdown sand to my tank. I did not wash it off at all before I put it into the tank as I read different opinions and decided this was the way I wanted to go. As of Wednesday, my tank still...
Is it okay to plug in my grounding probe into the gcfi outlet where rest of my pumps are plugged in, or would this be more likely to cause the GCFI to "flip" by sensing a short. Also, does it matter whether the grounding probe is in my aquarium or in the sump? Thanks.
Pete, I just installed two of the 120vac fans from RS this morning. You will have to buy a pigtail for each fan in order to be able to plug it into an electrical outlet. Otherwise, I would think you would have to buy an AC/DC converter for each if you got the 12v. The fans are not noisy at...
