I want to echo the previous statements. Talked with Jen yesterday and she has quite the vision for her store. Also the fish looked fantastic, never thought I would see a group of flame angels like that.

Have moved the fish out of the display since the eye had worsen. Is in a quarantine tank and treating with kanaplex. Have not seen any improvement yet. Did not have a chance to call The fish hospital.

Wanted to consult with a vet to see what my options were. Had not planned to take it to a vet.

Not till tomorrow. I read in another forum that food grade epson salts can help with swelling and either erythromycin or kanaplex for infection. Problem is he is in a large tank so catching him out for antibiotic baths will not be easy.

Does any know if there are any veterinarian offices in Manhattan that have some fish knowledge? Have a angel that has had popeye for awhile. Recently it must have scratched it because now it looks infected and has increased in size. If anyone has any suggestions, the fish is at least 7 years old...

I would second the avast marine. it is a recirculating model with a special nozzle to tumble the pellets.

I was having issues with chaeto as well. I had sent a water sample to Triton and while my boron was good my iodine was very low. My chaeto wasn't loosing color so much as it was brittle and not showing much growth. I had ordered some new chaeto from a place in Florida and started adding iodine...

I got my test results back from Triton. According to them my Boron levels are fine but I was low on Iodine, something I believe is beneficial to algae growth. I hoping by adding this I will get better algal growth. Also my bromine levels were very high, not sure if this would cause problems with...

what brand salt do you use and how is your chaeto growth? Are you using any other algae in the reactor? Thanks

I just started using GFO since I wasn't happy with the phosphate reading and the look of the corals. Tristan suggested Boron also, I will have to investigate this further. Thanks
