  1. Tank Thread Tank reached 38 years old...in 2009!

Hi Paul, I caught up on this thread after several months, and I wish you the best of luck with your move. Sounds like you have your tank move all planned out well. Hope you don't lose too much stuff. My tank turns 19 this month, a mere child compared to yours. Oh, and can I call you next time I...

Wow I wish I was closer to you, my harlequin shrimp ate all of mine and are hungry!
  3. Amphipods

It's 20 bucks for 100. Not sure if it is exactly 100 but I am happy with what I get from them. You can order them directly from their website and get the correct info there. They are good about phone calls as well. They called me to reschedule delivery when it was super cold. If you are...

  9. First Time Vivid Aquarium ....

Yes I agree, Vivid is a great resource. I have used them several times with excellent results. I rate them as high or probably higher than Dr F&S.
  10. Feeding clown fry

Good luck with them, what kind of clowns are you raising? I had gold stripe maroons. I lost the first few batches due to to what I think was the tank "floor" being too dirty. Since they sleep on the bottom at night, I started daily vacuuming of the bottom with some air line tubing right before...
  11. Feeding clown fry

I raised a few batches about 10 yrs ago, and can't remember exactly, but you sound about right to me. Are they eating the baby brine yet?
  12. Dutchess County Reef Keepers

  13. Dutchess County Reef Keepers

Thanks for the compliment! Yes I check the site daily.
  14. Should you replace part of the sandbed gradually

I have a shallow bed, probably from 2 to less than 1 inch in the viewable area. It is deeper in the back and under the rock closer to 4 inches on average. I have never replaced any sand in 16 years, other than to add a bit when some enough eventually gets removed during water changes, or to add...
  15. Anemone injured in powerhead.

My sebae was shredded in half over 10 years ago and it is still going strong. I did nothing other than put it back on the rocks and left it alone. Good luck with yours.
