So far, what has been the fate of any acro crabs? While I certainly hate red bugs, I really love my acro crabs and wouldn't want to kill them. Any easy methods of extracting them before treatment?
I had a pinktail in my reef for a while. Really well behaved until he started eating things :D First was alarge orange gorgonian. Completely shredded that. Then he picked on other things. Found him with a crab claw stuck to his lip one day!! Had to remove him from the tank to get it off LOL
I feed an open brain and a hammer about twice a week. My SPS get nothing from me adding to the tank. Once in a while I feed GPs, but I can't say that does much. I think I have a lot of life in th etank supplying planktonic food for the acros.
This article by Richard Harker does not really address the possibility of bulb failure due to nipple orientation. I have an associate that had to replace the bulb on a clients' tank when the bulb failed. The client insisted that the nipple pointing down was the cause of failure and will happen...
