That does suck but I have seen worse I was in a LFS and saw a 3ft nurse in a 4ft cube tank man was that depressing and you know what I was in there after about 3months and guess what still there I want to put it out of its mysery the poor thing can barly move in that small of a tank.

I keep three peppermint shrimp and make sure to feed the tank well so they dont nip at the polyps. They got a real taste for flesh when they devoured my aptasia outbreak in about 3 days.
The only thing you need to watch out for is water displacement. If you add 100# af live rock to a 60 gal sump with a 5"DSB you now have roughly a 30gal sump or there abouts. thats not a bad thing it simply leaves less room for error in power outages or pump failure.
