Here's some pics of my 55 after 5 yrs.

The venturi wasn't clogged or anything. I refilled the sump and fired it right back up. The only thing I can figure the pump on the skimmer was forcing all the water up the skimmer and didn't let it flow into the sump. I had no water movement.

I really don't know what to tell you, but if he's picking @ the actual coral his appetite will only get bigger. IME once they get a taste for corals it's over with. It is possible there may be some algae that he is grazing on, but maybe not. I guess you just have to decide if it's worth the chance.

First adding topoff water puts some trace elements back to your system. If you have a good skimmer that helps alot too. As far as additives IMO all you need is calcium and buffer. At first I did water changes 1x per month, I would be worried to death if I was a few days over due. But then I...
