1. what is a curly cue anemone

they eat food that you feed them(frozen shrimp), they also eat your prized shrimp if they walk too close... they are neat looking and are hardy, but needless to say I no longer have anenomes!
2. best eaters of hair alage

the right handed hominoid and the left handed hominoid seem to work the best at removing hair algae... I have tried sally's, hermits, snails, urchins, and fish. I think that my pencil urchin used to mow down the most algae! He sometimes mistook my green star polyps for algae and needless to say...
3. Hundreds of little starfish

I have several of those, they have various number of legs and range in size. They are pretty neat and tend to hang out on the glass and eat algae, either that or they are kicking it in the grass having a starfish picnic! I haven't seen them be destructive.... yet :?
4. what is a curly cue anemone

I had one for about a year... I wouldn't buy another one!
5. LFS in San Diego??

Ron at Octopus' garden is the most knowledgeable person I know, he owns it, he loves it, and he takes the time to answer all your questions. He is on Raytheon, kinda hidden. In my experience Aquatic Warehouse is big, but I think they lack on staff knowledge and sometimes they just want to sell...
6. New Tank

I just ordered a clear for life 60g acrylic. I am having it made with two drilled holes for bulkhead over flows. The Bulk heads are 1". I need to know where to get a FIP/MIP 1" 90degree, and a T fitting. With FIP connectors. Anyone know where? I can only find the FIP/MIP 1" 90 on...
7. tap water

I use natural ocean water for H2o changes...
8. My brain hurts

I don't think I can catch the fish. The coral is what I belive beyond repair.
9. My brain hurts

I found the culprit. My Ebili pygmy angel, who was well behaved for several months decided it was hungry. It is the one eating the brain. I was told there was a 50/50 chance of it not eating. I took the glass is half full approach. The fish was in a viewing tank with mushrooms and a torch. It...
10. My brain hurts

Where there is tissue the coral is a vibrant green color, and some parts glow purple under the actintic lighting. The tissue is coming off of the skeleton and I fear that it may be too late for this coral. Yes the lights just became 4.5 months old. I have a gorgonian, different varieties of...
11. My brain hurts

I tried feeding it brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, silversides, krill, prawn eggs, almost everything. I never saw it eat. I was told that they are mostly photosynthetic and did not require regular feedings of meat. What kind of animals predate on open brains?
12. My brain hurts

Why would all of my other corals be flourishing, and my green open brain be dying? The skeleton is becoming exposed and the tissue is shrinking. I have 4X96PC, 125g, skimmer, sump, 200+#Lr, DSB. I have had this coral for over 6months with no problems. Any ideas?
13. 650G on grade slab is it OK

quote:
Originally posted by osama: potential damage from snails etc.....[/QB]

What? What damage do snails do?
14. Storing mixed saltwater?

I recently went to my local "Pic N Save" and bought several 6.6gallon water jugs for $7.99 a peice. Easier then the trash cans to haul and move. -Nick
15. copper grounding probe

I understand the Grounding principal, I guess my point was why do you need one in an aquarium? You shouldn't have any "stray voltage"? I could see the stuff falling in the tank senario, but that's about it. If you have stray voltage and there is no place to ground then there techinically...
