So can I use these bulbs as opposed to $40.00 vho's?

I am already fighting a losing battle with hair algae. It is also time to change my bulbs. If I used two vho actinic bulbs and 2 no GE bulbs, would this contribute to my problem. I guess what I am asking, is this a good combination or should I stick to all vho?

Do the NO bulbs cause undesirable algae?

I tried my shop vac. It sucked that algae out like nothing! However I nolonger have any fish! Just Kidding

It's time to start changing my bulbs. They are over a 70 gallon that is starting to become a reef. Right now I have URI bulbs. I think I have 2 Super Actinic R, 1 Actinic, and 1 Aquasun. I have a dougnut coral and frogspawn coral. Any suggestions on lights? Thanks Jason

I have found about six small tips from my frogspawn on the sand. They are not torn off or anything. They look like it has grown new buds and let them go. Is this whats happening or am I in trouble? If it is new growth, how do I care for them? Thanks
