I actualyl live in king of prussia. I got the goral from the tank that has the lights that move back and forth. So they are not gettign intense MH light constantly and those lights are pretty high from the coral. Still I think I have too much lighting....

Ok I did a full tank change- meaning I pulled out all the LF and coral and put it in a new 10 gallon tank with new sand. So my water quality should be great.

DOn't need filters but having one is not horriable. A regular hang on back filter would add water flow to the tank and allow you to run carbon filtration every now and then...
YOu need LR in the tank... 0.75 to 1 lb per gallon should serve you well... YOu will have the tank go thru a cycle...
It really all depends on tank size and what kind of corals you want. YOu could do a 10 gallon tank and do it pretty cheap. Just get a regular old 10 gallon tank and then a 60-100W CF light. Get 1 or 2 small powerheads and a heater. After that you are ready for water....

Ok sounds good. When I installed them I put them so air would blow out but when I put my hand over the fan little to nohting was coming out. I figued it must have been the housing around the fan was limiting the air out somehow or dead-headign the fan...
