Just wondering if lugols iodide dosing is necessary with Kalkreactor in use. My 180 gal reef has been running for 3yrs now and all supplemnts discontinued except lugols. Do any of you with kalkreactors let your system run with no other supplements????

couldn't afford the utility bills of the chiller, i barely can afford the utility bills with my pumps and mh. Sounds more costly as mh are only on 12hr not running 24/7 as the chiller would have to run so not for me now. However if i was independently wealthy i would own one, or two....or...

i dose my 180 sps with 2 eye dropper drops dly if i remember, hahahaha. Most of the weeks it get its usual 2 drops every day of lugols befor i go to work. I keep it in check with a salifert test kit.....if it is correct. Not an easy test.

if it is the calupra that is devistating the medeteranian then nothing eats it except for the nucibrach i stated above. This calupra has a toxin in it, thus fish wont touch it. the nudibranch has adapted to tolerate the toxin and live with it in its system,thus fish wont eat them. A type of...

In the past have always mounted accro frags vertically. Recently have seen alot of frags mounted horizonally and wounering if any fraggers that have mounted frags this way have noticed an increase in its base formation rate or is this just a lazy way to mount a frag?

Just seen a special on pbs last nigh on calupra in the mediteranian that is taking over all the biological life off the coast. There is a nudibranch from florida they are going to import that eats only calupra.

I leave mine clear and have a white wall about 10" from back of aquarium and have a atinic lamp casting a blue hue to the wall... looks nice excpt scrapping coraline sux's

Getting ready to frag accros and wondering how to make the morter mounts. I have seen accros mounted on some type of morter mix molded in the bottom of a solo cup. wondering what is the moter mix and curring process? thanks in advance. The Indiana REEFER
