I think the general rule is 1-1.5 of both turbo snails and hermit crabs per gallon of water.
I think that lawnmower blennys are good for algae on rocks. HTH.

I don't know how to post the link, but in the member's tank you can see them. All my levels are zero except the nitrates which spiked on Friday when I rearranged the rock and made a mess of the tank, they are down to almost zero now. They were 50 on friday and 25 on Saturday.

I started my 24 gallon nano on 12/28/06. I added 24 lbs of live rock. 20 hermit crabs and 20 snails and let it cycle for a month. Obviously, my snails died because of the cycling. So I let the cycling finish after a month it was done.
