  1. Leather splitting vertically

Thanks for the confirmation reefman. Now if only I could force my E.Quadricolor bubble tip to split! Darn thing has been in there for 6 years and has an oral disk ~10 inches. Fully opened, it spreads tip to tip 20+ inches... too big for the 75g tank. (
  2. Please help me with Coral ID.....

With the white tips, it sounds like perhaps porites or some other acropora type coral as my montipora is purple but never shopws white tips. And if it moves, it is definitely neither. Will look for the pic tomorrow.

  7. Unknown but NOT an egg mass

Can anyone suggest what this cluster might be? It is not an egg mass as it has been there for over a year. It is ALIVE, as it does both retract into the stone and also changes color from a bright orange red to a silver metallic look. The clown fish flutter next to it on a regular basis...
  8. Leather splitting vertically

Have been reefing for 15 years and have had Sarcophyton leathers "travel" and leave behind progeny. But I now have one that is splitting vertically into two virtually identical animals. The process has been on going for a year and it is now almost complete. Has anyone else ever seen this...
