  3. How much waste do corals produce?

do corals also contribute to the nutrients in the tank? Is there an significant output to zooxanthellae? Is it ok to add 10+ corals to an established but understocked tank at once?

  5. Brown Algae ID pls

Thanks LR is from Australia (west coast, not Great Barrier Reef). not Dictyota bartayresii either, but i think that it may be a Dictyota. Had a look around, and it most closely resembles Dictyota pulchella. Mine is more brown while the pulchella looks more yellow, however some of the other...

I am yet to build it , but basically the plan is for the bubbles to raise to the top of the left chamber, while...

hahaha at Marco67's sig : "Just another $100. and I swear I'll stop spending on the tank for awhile". i've had to say to myself that i'm not allowed to go to any LFS for 3 weeks, just to stop myself spending anymore. its hard, so hard.
  12. need to get rid of dyno and hair algae?

newbie, i just answered youre other post, this was my response: One thing i forgot to mention which Jolieve reminded me was good water flow. Crabs, nudi's, etc, are not solving the problem, just removing a little of the mess. to get rid of it properly, you need address the underling issue...
  13. dyno and waterchanges?

Depending on your source of water, the water changes could be encouraging dyno growth, as your source water could be providing nutrients to the dyno. 1. are you using RO water? if not, this is likely your problem. try using RO water instead. 2. skimming, skimming should remove the nutrients...
