I loved my tanks before I started doing the SPS stuff. I think I kept at it until I got polyps out on the SPS, and I went, wow, that's what I was after. Why don't I feel rewarded ?

I looked for a lot of advice and was told to leave out the tile where the tank would be, and just have enough extra tile if we wanted to take out the tank someday. Ceramic tile can crack very easily, when installing a weak area can crack from walking on it if it's not perfectly level. So we...

Agree with Phoenix for 250w DE nice light. They need replacement though at about 9 months ime.

Len, Chris, would your recommends work with the existing ballast do you think? Or am I now forced to buy HQI....if I had a better memory, I think I would have remembered going through this years ago.. :x

I just went back to a Hamilton fixture for the VHO's and to get rid of my 250w pendants using Coralvue Reeflux bulbs because I couldn't stand the yellow. The Hamilton bulbs came on very white and went to pure green in two days. ACCCCK... I just want white/blue whatever....

I used the 250's as well, loved the color, after about 8 months no intensity whatever, everything went brown.
