It's better to have fuge facing you, the stuff that goes in the back comparment is easily accessible without having to look into the whole compartment. I have.. Phosban reactor, Temp Probe, PH Probe, Skimmer, just purchased a calc reactor and have enough space for it. it's a great sump. good...

if you havnt purchased yet. i would look at their gen3 sumps, this is a solid sump, and i can only imagine their build quality increased form gen2 to gen3
