  1. coco worms

I have three feather dusters and two coco worms. Coco worms tend to be skittish when you first get them, so it is hard to target feed them. Squirt very fine food up current, so that the food is brought to them. Mine get fed at least twice a day.
  2. Two yellow tangs 3.5 to 4 inches $350 each

Biota is going to make a fortune with their tank raised fish.

  6. Overpriced Tangs

Went to the little LFS here in Passaic county. The owner brings in his own shipment of fish. He had at least a half dozen powder blues ($50) and even more Nasos ($80). Said he had a deal.
  7. Isaias Stories

Hope everyone and their tanks got through this mess okay. Here in north NJ, we took a beating with trees down and no power for 48 hours. Curious to hear how everyone's tanks made out without power. As soon as the power came on, I had to check the damage. Going down the steps to the fish...

  9. Need red planaria advice

I just did my tank yesterday. I agree with everyone. Straight dosage just annoyed them. The worms speeding on the corals annoyed the corals so much that they closed up. I saw no worms on SPS but the LPS were infested, especially the gonis and elegance. With the corals closed, it was easy to...

    Bloomingdale
  11. Too much phytoplankton, a bloom!

I would not add the clams. They may not be able to handle the warm tank temperature. All you need is for one to die and the situation gets worse.
  12. Concrete question

You have a high water table. How wide are the cracks? If they are hair line(1/16 inch) they must be made wider so the epoxy can get into them. Concrete sealants won't work sitting on top. It must be forced into the crack. Where are your downspouts from your gutters? If they end right at...

  14. Leaking tank advice

Like to give a big Thank You to all who offered advice. Four days later, there have been no casualties. Water is crystal clear. Fish and corals look terrific. Very little cyano appeared. Thanks
  15. Leaking tank advice

Going to be a fun day. The tank is losing a gallon every 24 hours. The new tank is going where the old tank is now. Have a batch of empty fish buckets and new water is made. Will Caribsea live sand help in the transfer? What should I do with the old sand? Thanks for help.
