Justphish & champion lighting were running specials last week but I don't know if they are still going on. Justphish had the better deals and they both were cheaper than hellolights. Actualy champion lighting was selling hellolights actinic bulbs for cheaper than hellolights. Brian

Josh, Chances are you picked up a whelk, not a conch. Their shells look very similar, but whelks are snail predators while conchs eat algae. Brian

If your willing to travel outside the city, I would check Rainbow Aquarium on Rt. 23 in Wayne NJ. They have the best prices in north Jersey. Brian

The main difference I've seen is that hellolights is very simle to set up, plug & play, while you have to wire the AH retro kits. Brian

I would get an aqua c remora with the maxijet pump. Brian

I don't know if they would work for your situation(tank size, length of power outage etc.) but I use battery powered air pumps for circulation in my tank during outages. Brian
