  2. red acro bug cure DISCUSSION

No praying involved. I asked this. As long as you don't dump it into public water, you are ok. The FDA said flushing is ok. Don't put it in the ocean or pond.
  3. red acro bug cure DISCUSSION

Also wanted to add that if you simply follow the laid out instructions and use the .05g per 20g to make it easier on weighing out, while approximating your volume just as you would for any other med or additive, such as DT's Phytoplankton, Magnesium sup., B-Ionic, Chemi-Clean, etc. etc. you...
  4. red acro bug cure DISCUSSION

Some things I've found: 1 - It is soluble enough in water for this not to be an issue... 2 - On my second and third treatments, I dissolved the medication into 250ml of tank water in a small vial and shook it up prior to addition.
  5. red acro bug cure DISCUSSION

    Use .05g per 20 gallons.
  6. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

No algae outbreaks here... No ill-effect towards anything in my tank. The only issue that anyone might have (so it appears) is crabs, pods and shrimp loss. This can be curtailed by removal and quarantine in a non-acro tank for the duration of the treatment.
  7. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

Still zero red bug life in my tank. No ill effect, and great polyp extension on some frags that had almost nothing prior to the treatment.
  8. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

Is there a way for us to research the life cycle? Obviously, with other organisms that are nuisances, such as Ich, many believe/state that the cycle is around 17-21 days. How does one go about figuring this out? Also, dustin, have you done any research on the zoanthid eating nudibranches?
  9. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

I did around 15%... So not quite as much as prescribed. With how little harm there seems to be, it doesn't seem like the treatment would do anything left to be absorbed by carbon, but I guess at this point there isn't enough experience with the long term affects. But since I didn't have any...
  10. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

Finished my second treatment a few hours ago, and all is going well. Still excellent polyp extension, no bugs, all other corals are healthy.
  11. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

Going on around 72 hrs from start of treatment and everything looks good. Only possible affect on a pink milli colony is that it seems the polyps have browned a little.. Possibly they were always that color and maybe just had better extension? Not sure.. It was the only milli I had that...
  12. Red Acro "Bugs" -- Looking for volunteers

I was able to get my acro crabs out using two small plastic rods. I was able to work it near the base of the acro and then flick it off of the acro and into a small container of water. I put those in another tank (still in their container) with some rock for holding while performing the...
  13. LEDs controlled by aquacontroller

I'll give you that. We don't necessarily know everything that the other knows, but on the same token, neither party is given the capability to use all of their resources. We can't use our full depth band, we can't use our full speed, we can't use our nuclear power specialties quite the way we...
  14. LEDs controlled by aquacontroller

Grateful Diver: We played some games, and never were detected until we went shallow enough and started making some noise with hatches.. Not sure on how it would be if we had been a Fast Attack.. I'm on a SSBN though, and we never were detected when we weren't supposed to be. Closest we ever...
  15. LEDs controlled by aquacontroller

I don't quite understand why it is you don't believe a LED can be dimmed? As mentioned before: The led will be brighter with a higher voltage, dimmer at a lower voltage, therefore, if you put a larger resister in series, or a variable resister, then this would accomplish the task. If you've...
