Just to clarify since my for some reason the topic line and the question line have a limit on characters.
Should someone take corals from point A and farm them in point B commercially. I'm not talking about backyard farms but large commercial flow through or open water farms.
Since my post was sidetracked withing 5 replies I decied to run a poll.
We are of course talking about farming in tropical climates. Temperate locations need not apply.
I just want to make sure that people don't think this was the club's decision. It was a person in the industry that was solicitating frags to take to Indonesia
A recent email to one of the clubs local to me brought up the action of sending some caribbean ricordia and some zooanthids to a coral farm in Jakarta. Should this be allowed? Should I not worry? What's the opinion of the group?

Funny that that elegance was considered a "beginner's" coral and did very well and now it's hard to keep one alive. I suspect this is due to the cleanliness of our tanks more than anything.
I've seen pictures of clowns in a koosh ball. Never tried it myself. You need same parameters as normal corals but usually higher lighting. I would recommend a bubble tip anemone for your first anemone.
You'll be fine. I have a pair of negripes and a single cap clown. I did get an anemone for both sets and they pretty much stick to their anemone at different ends of the tank.
I use what ever grows. I would never go out and buy a "kit" unless you feel the need to add certain animals but most of the critters you need can be gotten from a cup of sand from another local reefer.
