  1. An "old chestnut"

Guys sorry to rehash an old issue, but I am having a few problems setting up a sulphur denitrator. I have set it up using a syphon from main tank and have the flow set really slow using a hose restrictor, however I tested the unit today (after 4 days) to see if the effluent was any lowere (...

  3. Mixing Clownfish

Any advice on whether it is possible or indeed safe to mix clownfish in the same tank. I have a new tank (1000ltrs) which has 2 fairly small common clowns (percula) however I have an existing setup which I am slowly introducing to the new tank. Basically I have a 2 year old Maroon Clown...

I have a 78" x 24" x 30" (deep) tanks in my living room. As a result "She who must be obeyed" demanded that every thing is neatly stowed in cabinet. I got the cabinet made 34" high (interior measurement) and I have been able to squeeze in a sump with sufficient capcity to store filters and a...

  9. Another Tang Question?

Dan, as far as I was aware I usually use correct punctuation and grammer. My apologies if this isnt the case but I sometimes sit with only the light from my FOWLR tank in the distance. Spelling and grammer mistakes are inevitable. I alos have a nasty habit of abbreviating a lot (too much...
  10. Another Tang Question?

Can we kill the thread Admin. I think I have about as much advice as I need and my tank hasnt even got any water in it yet. I asked a question, which admittedly I knew would fuel some debate, but the debate has long since drifted of the original question. I certainly wont be asking any...

  15. Another Tang Question?

Guys I realise that this is a touchy subject and is often more confused by the various opinions. I read an article in the latest addition of Practical Fishkeeping that stated that Yelow Tangs should be kept in a matched pair. Les Holliday divulged his findings on reef fish reproduction from a...
