  1. 265G tank setup questions

No, I understand. I think I'll go with the 72" and find T5s that fit. I'm somewhat concerned about electricity usage, having had it be pretty night in the past, especially with 3 MHs. With a reef I'm not sure if I want it killing everything in the water column, are there any arguments each way...
  2. 265G tank setup questions

Hi, I have an older 265 gallon tank just waiting to be set up again. I'm missing lights, and a some filtration components. Given that this is 84" long, I assume i'll need 2 sets of lights to go the full length. I want soft-corals at most, nothing more light-addicted that that, so was planning...
  3. MR site down?

What's wrong with it? Where is it broken?
  4. Big equipment sell off - everything going cheap.

Some pics... I like working outside, so yes, I've stuck it on the car hood, the trash can, and in the trunk... not the fanciest places, but everything still works regardless Calcium Reactor package MTC Skimmer: UV: Wavebox:
  5. Big equipment sell off - everything going cheap.

*** CORRECTION *** I'm sorry, I was wrong about the wattage on the UV. It's a 25W model with a Rio 1700. That's about $300 new. I just took out the bulb cover and cleaned it off, and checked it lights. It's all working well.
  6. Big equipment sell off - everything going cheap.

Dre, That model is pretty much plug-and-play. It comes with the controller, and it is designed to fit the probe inside it so you don't need to control the bubble-flow too accurately. You can then just set up a slow constant feed from and back to the tank. It's pretty fool-proof. Handy to have...
  7. Big equipment sell off - everything going cheap.

Given that we just moved house, it's all boxed up still. So, no photos at the moment. The calcium reactor looks much like the one on AquaMedic's website. It has a new pump that I replaced, and still has media in it. Chief - Kasei does? I don't?

  10. 24G Nanocube Deluxe - 2 to go

Oh, I meant $100 each, which isn't totally clear above, rather than $100 together. Normally $350 for tank and stand, plus extra for heaters, etc, so still not a bad price.
  11. 24G Nanocube Deluxe - 2 to go

ok guys, I'm working through posts/pms in order... Thanks for the responses from everyone. Regards, Alex
  12. 24G Nanocube Deluxe - 2 to go

All, I have 2 nanocubes. Both 24G deluxe models, both with heaters, and the overflow skimmer. With the sponges, and possibly some bioballs in one of them. Both are on the square stand that has the cupboard in it. Return pumps are working too. One is freshwater and has a bag of red plant...
  13. 175G tank

It's 6' long, 18 deep, and whatever the remainder is tall. Central overflow and return down to a sump, very well made (in Brooklyn by 1000 Island Aquarium (http://www.1000islandaquarium.com/). Thick glass, etc. It sits on a black wood stand which will go with it. The central brace has broken...
  14. Polleni grouper for sale

Danny, depends on the size of the mandarin. He will only eat what he can suck into his mouth. He's not huge though. 55 might be a little small in the long run too, but, as I said, in a 55 with just a mandarin, he'll be fine for a while. If he turns out to be too big, well, you'll have a $350...
