Hope you had a sterling Labor Day Celebration. We just wanted to say a quick thank you for your patronage during our Labor Day Savings event, as always it is genuinely appreciated.
This week since we typically feature mostly pictures of corals we are going to do something a little different and in doing so give you an explanation as to why this has been the case of late and then invite your participation by offering a suggestion to help us remedy a slight issue we are having.
Since our talented photographer Javier has moved on to bigger things and taken his skills and camera with, we have been faced with the daunting task of trying to capture fish with a more simple "underwater camera".
Whilst it is more than adequate to capture images of things that do not move (corals), not nearly close to being as effective at honing in on a moving target...fish for instance..get too close and the most indolent and placid things decide to either hide or keep moving lest this strange new object (the camera) in their environment tries to eat them.
Shutter speed being the issue here of course so now in order to "get up to speed", literally..we have to get a new camera, one that fits the purpose..this is where you come in..
We are sure that more than a few of you are skilled photographers as well, so we are inviting your suggestions and help in choosing a good camera...
Feel free to send us your suggestions and comments as we gladly welcome them.
The savings and fun continue this week still...20% all Colonies in the 20 footer and the Frags in Raceway #6000! This goes right through till Thurs, 12th Sept.
There are a lot of wonderful things (Colonies and frags) involved in this, so it would be silly not to take further advantage of these late summer deals!
Having said all of this here are this weeks pics..and guess what..We did get some of fish..(ugh, the labor it took too, lol)...Please enjoy...
