Seems like people forgot all about tropical island
tropical Island have some great sps! but for me its a little far. I'm in nassau. Great place also. Been there twice but never bought anything. im not ready for sps yet.
Surprisingly though sps frags i do have are doing really well but my pulsing xenias melted.

Tropical island is great. But if OP is coming from Valley Stream, Aquarium Village is probably his best bet and you really can't beat their atmosphere or pricing.

Ya good point and on the subject of xenia don't worry about it that crap takes over tanks anyway
Xenias are the easiest and toughest coral to keep.
It took over a large rock in my tank and I would regularly harvest it until it stopped growing like that. Not I have a couple shoots in the back of my live rock. Hasnt spread in over two years. It slowly creeps and I cut it back.
Mushrooms are the same way in my tank.

There is Tropical Showcase on Old Country Rd in Hicksville. They are overpriced compared to PW and AV and the place is a mess.
The staff is not as friendly either.
There is a place in Mineola on Jericho Tpk that sells a lot of birds and soft coral. Hit or miss but mostly a miss.
