Cheap 250 w de mh bulb question?

Is anyone using a 250 w de mh bulb they r happy with I was looking for something cheap as I am cheap but will spend if I have too I used to run 250 w 14k Phoenix bulbs and was happy with them but they where discontinued!

Matt try SOS light bulbs they were telling me they were going to start making them. Ask for Jason .

wow just checked, they have the pheonix bulbs listed for $50. Assuming they are not knock offs, thats a great price.

The company that purportedly took them over (hexarc) seems to have removed their web site. So, sadly the bulbs left online may very well be the last of the breed.

On the bright side hamilton 14ks are quite nice, if a little bluer.

I'm thinking about checking out some of the 20k bulbs like reflux and ushio, when I need them again.

I use the plusrite bulbs on my system 10k 400 have a nice white color plenty of lux 60000 . With a ReefBrite pendant and ballast.

if you were not asking for cheap bulbs, i would suggest you to try Phillips Hue Light Setup for home.
