AI vega for Mangroves?

I have an IM Nuvo 16 tank with an AI vega.

I need to do nutrient control and want to get some mangroves.
I don't want to get a refugium light.

I wanted to know if I could support mangroves with the side-scattered light from the Vega.

The pictures are bad but I plan to put the mangroves in the second chamber in the back with the leaves sticking up above the rim.

Skip mangroves. They don't export much and are a pain in the arse.

Get some cheato. And get a refugium light (jbj nano glo is great). Set the fuge light in the reverse schedule as your normal light.
