brittle stars

I have a large blue brittle star that I think is a trouble maker. I think he is eating my snails and hermits but am not sure Ive only seen him eat 1 snail that i dropped to the bottom by mistake and he came out and grabbed it and ran away. I think i should remove him do you think there is a good reson to keep him?

Brittles will do that... I would recommend that you remove it. They really aren't a necessity in a reef tank, and they sometimes tend to cause more harm than good.

is it just the blue brittle star thats agressive or are the green ones better?

the green ones are the worst. Thanks for the replies the star is already gone.
