Could someone ID this SPS for me please? It was a gift from a friend who told me what it is, but I forgot. I know it doesn't have it's true color at the moment, it was like this when I got due to a misfortune. A piece broke off, which I placed in my newly established 20g. When I put the small piece in the 20 I saw brown background as can be seen in the pic, but I also saw very dark blue/purple on it as well. I believe those were polyps.

Oh, and with so many screaming that I do not have enough flow in my tank I directed more flow to it. While it had the "no flow" it was doing fine, when I turned the flow at it I had to cut off two branches because they had their flesh blown right off of them. I turned the flow away from it, and it is once again doing fine.

Looks like youv'e got some tissue loss at the base of that acro.....?
Are those chalk bass (nice), when did you get those?

Yes Eric it is tissue loss at the base. It was like that when it was given to me,probably from where it was stuck into a hole in the lr. The friend that gave it to me said it is very tuff coral, so we are watching to see what happens as my reef progresses. If you recall my lr was saturated with phosphates.
Yup, chalk bass they are. Got them over the summer, I think it was in August.
