Please help me identify this Mystery Pest

I have no idea what this thing is, I'm pretty new to the reefing hobby. I searced the web (including the pest section of reefs.com) to no end. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong direction and this thing isn't a pest but I want to know what it is regardless so if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

The unknown pest is a white tube about .8mm to 1.5mm with a tiny red head with tiny hairs coming out of its end. see attached pics

It's hard to tell but it maybe a barnacle.

My guess is that it is a filter feeding tube worm.

Always wise to keep an eye on things and get an ID when you are not sure.
