I was checking out ebay for any tanks in the area and i came across this one. Is this tank safe to use? If not would it be able to be repaired, or will the bonded acrylic used to fix it not make a strong enough joint? Your opinions would be greatly appriciated :usa1:

PS make sure to scroll all the way down to see all the pics.

unless i see this in person, i wouldn't risk it. the only damage shown is the brace but cracks r so hard to see. the pics shown may be dark on purpose. i certainly would not pay w/o seeing it 1st.

I think you would have to reinforce the bracing or it would possibly break.

I would take off the old piece and replace it with a new piece, cut to the same size. The tank is acrylic and you should be able to bond the new piece on without any problems or leaks.

Before you do bid on the tank you probably want to price out what a new one cost.

The back piece of acrylic where the piece broke off is also broken. You would have to shave down (no corner ships) that piece when you fix it, fill it then glue on another eurobrace piece.

Its doable if you have a piece of acrylic lying around and time.
